Overview
Coastline, wildlife and the Penguin Parade.
Take in amazing views of the Bass Strait and make friends with Phillip Island's local penguins and other Australian wildlife on our small group day tour (4 to 11 guests). Enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee, sit back and relax on the 1hr 45min drive down to Phillip Island.
Our first stop is a surfer's dream beach, Cape Woolamai, where we lace up the boots for a guided 6.8km circuit hike through rugged rock formations known as the Pinnacles, with stunning views over the Bass Strait and pounding surf below. Look out for wallabies, echidnas, shearwater birds and whales in the winter months. After the hike we head into Cowes for lunch or dinner (depending on the season, own expense) at one of our favourite local cafes or restaurants.
Next is the Phillip Island Koala Reserve, where tree top boardwalks and close viewing areas bring you face-to-face with koalas, then The Nobbies for an easy boardwalk stroll past breathtaking coastline and the impressive thundering blowhole, home to Australia's largest seal colony. To finish the day we take a waddle on the wild side at the world-famous Penguin Parade, where hundreds (sometimes thousands) of penguins emerge from the surf at sunset. A wildlife lover's dream.
